A Christmas Eve discovery
How Santa found Timmy
High in the snowy mountains of Tibet, Santa and his reindeer are forced to land during a fierce snowstorm. Then Santa hears something in the distance: a little puppy crying.
Vixen uses her excellent hearing to help Santa find the tiny golden puppy. Santa and Vixen search for his family, but no one can be found. Santa cannot leave him there alone, so the puppy joins them in the sleigh.

With a sparkle of Christmas magic, a blue badge appears around the puppy’s neck with his new name on it. From then on, Timmy is no longer the little dog alone in the snow. He has found Santa, the reindeer — and the beginning of a new home.

Timmy Claus was inspired by a real Tibetan Spaniel called Timmy. He is now eight years old and still full of character. The books imagine how a little puppy like Timmy might have become Santa Claus’ very own companion.
